ABOUT ME

Hello, I'm Catherine
I'm a qualified Person-Centred Counsellor and Psychotherapist, offering adults a safe and accepting space to talk about whatever may be going on for them.
You don't need to have everything figured out before coming to counselling. Sometimes life can leave us feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious or disconnected without knowing exactly why.
My approach is warm, gentle and non-judgemental. We'll work together at your pace, exploring what feels important to you and what you need.
My Experience
As well as my own private practice, I have had experience providing volunteer one-to-one counselling through community wellbeing organisations within Cornwall.
I also have over two and a half years previous experience as a Mental Health Ambulance Assistant, supporting people experiencing mental health crises and working alongside healthcare professionals. This work gave me valuable experience of supporting people during some of the most difficult and distressing moments of their lives.
Before moving into counselling, I worked in human resources, employee wellbeing, administration and production management. These experiences have given me an understanding of the different pressures and challenges people can face in both their working and personal lives.
Qualifications

I continue to undertake relevant continuing professional development to support my practice and maintain my professional knowledge.
